Trefoil Rewards

Great job this Cookie Season, Girl Scouts!

Everyone give themselves a round of applause—the Girl Scout Cookie season is over, and Girl Scouts accomplished some awesome results! What’s next? Troops now have more funds to Exploremore this year, whether that’s a service project, field trip, or any other fun activities. The 2026 Cookie rewards are here! Girl Scouts should check with their Troop Leader or Troop Cookie Manager if rewards have not been received yet. Have a wonderful summer, Girl Scouts!

Redeem 2026 Trefoil Rewards Now! Girl Scouts who sold 290+ packages of cookies this season have earned the choice of Trefoil Rewards and should have received an email and postcard with information on using Trefoil Rewards if they picked that reward. Be sure to redeem Trefoil Rewards before it’s too late! Use it for one of the eligible programs at that earned reward level, use it to renew membership for 2027, or use it as a program discount for a higher cost program. For example, if a Girl Scout earned and picked two Trefoil Rewards, they could redeem it for an eligible two-night camp, two week-long day camps, or for a 45% discount (up to $245) for a higher-fee summer program. Alternatively, they can carry it over to use in 2027. Please reach out to the Answer Center at answercenter@girlscoutsem.org to get the link to the Trefoil Rewards Redemption Form. Redemptions must be submitted by April 24 for June programs and June 23 for July and August programs.

I’m using my Trefoil Rewards to go on more high adventures

this summer at Camp Tuckaho!

Be on the lookout for the Trefoil Icon throughout this guide and the 2026 Camp Adventure Guide for eligible programs!

Trefoil Rewards Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am on the waitlist for a program? Please do not submit the Trefoil Rewards Redemption form until the Girl Scout is fully registered for a program.

Will GSEM automatically apply any Trefoil Rewards to a balance? No. Caregivers must complete the Trefoil Rewards Redemption Form to let us know what program Trefoil Rewards should be applied to. This link will be provided in the email and postcard communication that goes out after the Cookie Program ends. Earners must submit the form by stated deadlines to use them. How will Trefoil Rewards be applied to my account? Parents/Caregivers should receive an email and postcard in April if their Girl Scout earns Trefoil Rewards. This message will include a link to a form, which they must fill out and submit to notify GSEM of the program their Girl Scout wishes to use their Trefoil Rewards to attend. Our Customer Care team will credit their account for the value of the program or discount. Any remaining balance will be the families responsibility. Rewards will not automatically be applied. If I don’t use all my Trefoil Rewards, can I carry them over? Trefoil Rewards are not gift cards and have no cash value. No remaining balances will exist to be applied to another program. If a Girl Scout doesn’t use their Trefoil Rewards at all by Sept. 30, 2026, they will roll over to 2027. Can I transfer my earned Trefoil Rewards to another Girl Scout? Trefoil Rewards may only be used by the Girl Scout who earned them and are not transferable. Scholarships are available to families with a need. Can I apply for a Scholarship and use Trefoil Rewards? For those with a financial need, they may apply for a scholarship, following the scholarship guidelines. Any scholarship awarded will be credited against a balance due after Trefoil Rewards have already been applied. Scholarships may not be used in lieu of Trefoil Rewards.

Find answers to other Trefoil Rewards FAQs at vr.girlscoutsem.org/TRFAQ.

Thank You! Cheers to everyone who makes this the sweetest season! Until next year!

Girl Scout Programs

STEM, Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, and the Outdoors!

The Girl Scout Program: National Program Pillars The Girl Scouts four Program Pillars—STEM, Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, and the Outdoors—form the foundation of the Girl Scout program and work together to build girls’ curiosity, kindness, and can do spirit. In fact, every aspect of our program, and every Girl Scout adventure, can be traced back to one of our four program pillars.

STEM Research shows that girls are keenly interested in STEM and excel at it. Yet, for a variety of reasons, girls often don’t pursue STEM careers. When Girl Scouts participate in focused STEM programs, they are more interested in STEM and careers in tech—including app development, robotics, coding, and cybersecurity.

Life Skills Girl Scout life skills programming includes a mix of practical skills, tools and activities that foster positive values in girls. Skills that help them discover that they have what it takes to raise their voices as community advocates, make smart decisions about their finances, and form strong, healthy relationships.

Entrepreneurship Girls are actively interested in becoming entrepreneurs, developing financially stable futures, and using their skills to make a big impact on the world. This pillar instills and nurtures an entrepreneurial mindset and fuels girls’ curiosity and confidence as they learn the essentials of running their own businesses.

Outdoors Studies show that girls today are not spending nearly enough time outdoors. Girl Scouts has been building girls’ outdoor confidence and skills for over one hundred years through a variety of outdoor adventures, an appreciation for nature and environmental stewardships.

Badges vs. Patches

For over a century, Girl Scouts have proudly worn distinctive uniforms that symbolize the high ideals for which the organization stands. Our uniforms have changed over the years, but they still show how much a Girl Scout has accomplished—and that they’re ready for what’s next. Girl Scouts at each level wear a tunic, sash, or vest to display official pins, badges, patches, and awards. There are many opportunities to earn badges, patches, and awards. But what’s the difference between a badge and a patch?

Badges • Created by Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA), with specific criteria to earn them involving skill-based accomplishments • Each Girl Scout level has its own unique badge shape • Badges go on the front of a tunic, vest or sash

Patches • Created by Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri (GSEM), GSUSA, or licensed vendors • Given for any number of things, often commemorating fun events, experiences and patch programs • Patches go on the back of a tunic, vest or sash

Need help with where to place badges, pins, awards, and other insignia? Check out the Girl Scout uniform diagram, at girlscouts.org/uniforms .

Get ready—new badges and awards from GSUSA were released this summer! Turn the page to learn more about these new programs.
