Girl Scout Gold Award

How Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors Make the World a Better Place

The Gold Award is earned by girls in grades 9-12 who demonstrate extraordinary leadership in developing sustainable solutions to local, national and global issues. To get started on your Gold Award project, you must complete two Journeys or if you earned your Silver Award you only need to complete one Journey. Gold Award Trainings are provided both virtually and in person each month and can be found in gsEvents. Girls earning their Gold Award are supported by the Gold Award Committee. These volunteers review both the proposal and final report as well as facilitate the initial candidate training and offer mentorship along the way. Our Gold Award honorees are celebrated by family, friends, volunteers, staff and special guests at the annual Reflections Ceremony in June each year. Projects must be approved by the committee by March 1 in order to be recognized at that year’s Reflections Ceremony. Projects approved after this date will be recognized at the following year’s ceremony.
