Girl Scout Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Mandatory for All Active Volunteers
Level: All
Course Description: Child abuse and neglect are difficult subjects to think about, yet the prevention of abuse is a topic Girl Scouts takes very seriously. This training prepares supervising adults of Girl Scout youth to recognize, respond to, and report concerns of child abuse and neglect. Additionally, supervising adults will be empowered to prevent abuse by learning Girl Scout recommended practices, policies, and procedures— proactive measures designed to prevent abusers from interacting with Girl Scouts to foster a safe space for children to thrive.
This course is mandatory for all active GSEM volunteers.

Lifeguard In-Service Training
Level: All
Course Description: This course is required annually for registered volunteers certified in American Red Cross lifeguarding who wish to lifeguard on GSEM camp properties. Lifeguard In-Service Training covers, in detail, the Emergency Action Plan or EAP for council-owned pools and lakes. The EAP must be followed in cases of major emergencies at the pool or waterfront at GSEM camps.

Looker Onboarding for Service Unit Volunteers (GSUSA)
Level: All
Course Description: Looker is the business intelligence platform used by councils nationwide. With it, approved service team volunteers can explore, visualize, and analyze data from their districts or neighborhoods. This course is a great introduction for brand-new service team volunteers wanting to get started with Looker or volunteers needing a Looker refresher. Learn what Looker is, how to navigate Looker, and how to interact with Looker reports.

Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporter Training Mandatory for All Active Volunteers
Level: All
Course Description: Girl Scout volunteers and staff are considered mandated reporters in Missouri. This course, provided by Missouri Network Against Child Abuse, explores how adults can identify and report child abuse and neglect to the Children’s Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services. A no-cost registration with Missouri Network Against Child Abuse is required to access this two-hour course. Upload the completion certificate provided by Missouri Network Against Child Abuse to the second course module in gsLearn to receive credit for completion.
This course is mandatory for all active GSEM volunteers.
