American Red Cross First Aid, CPR/AED Instructor Blended Learning

Course Description: This blended-learning course is for those who wish to become a First Aid, CPR/AED course instructor through the American Red Cross. The 2.5-hour online portion of the course must be completed before attending the 5-hour in-person skills session. This certification is valid for two years. Approximately one week before the in-person skills session, participants will receive a link via email to the online portion. Proof of current American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED certification and completion of the online portion should be brought to the in-person skills session.
Prerequisite: Current American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED certification.

Course Description: Everyone has mental health, and youth are experiencing mental health challenges at an ever-growing rate. In this course, volunteers will learn what mental health is and how to recognize the signs of mental health challenges. Participants will explore different scenarios that young people may experience and learn how to promote an environment within Girl Scouts for them and others to thrive and grow.
