Summer 2024 Younger Girl Mini Guide

Caregivers of All Grade Levels Join our Program Managers to discuss all things Girl Scout robotics! They will overview the GSEM Robotics Program, FIRST® Robotics, SeaPerch and what to do next if you or your girl are interested in becoming a member of the robotics program. Sessions will be held on Zoom, register at vr.girlscoutsem.org/LEGO2. Location: Virtual Daisy and Brownie, Grades 1-2 Test out your green thumb as you discover what makes a garden grow. Practice identifying plants around camp, learn how to send a message in flower code, and plant a garden of your very own. Location: Camp Cedarledge 63070 Calling all thrill seekers! Girl Scouts will explore math, science and physics by observing (and riding) the mechanics of roller coasters and thrill rides at Six Flags Saint Louis. We will begin the day with a physics lesson and the afternoon will be spent completing a physics themed scavenger hunt while enjoying the rides. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Girl Scouts earn the first part of the Think Like an Engineer Journey. Location: Six Flags 63025 Junior, Grades 4-5 This course is for Girl Scout Juniors who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Bronze Award. Parents, caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend as well. This training will allow girls to learn the steps necessary to complete their Bronze Award project and how to submit their proposal. Location: Virtual Junior, Grades 4-5 Calling all Junior performers! Camp Fiddlecreek is the setting for an amazing day of music and performance. Juniors will earn their Musician Badge in between experiencing classic camp activities like swimming and hiking. With the some help from our older Girl Scout friends, girls will learn how to unlock their musical potential! Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors, Grades 4-12
