Summer 2024 Younger Girl Mini Guide

Junior, Grades 4-5 Whether you have or haven't camped before, this weekend will show you how fun outdoor adventures can be and teach you how to care for our environment. Juniors will learn to take care of animal habitats and resources, and camp outside. Tents and communal gear are provided by council. Girl Scouts are responsible for bringing a sleeping bag and other personal items (council has extras if needed). A virtual, evening prep meeting will be held the week before the program—date and details will be sent via email confirmation. Juniors earn their Outdoor Journey which includes Animal Habitats, Camper, Eco Camper, and Take Action Badges. Location: West Tyson County Park 63025 Daisy, Grades K-2 Join us at Camp Fiddlecreek for a day of adventure and classic camp fun! Daisies will experience classic camp activities like hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, and sing alongs. They will also earn their Daisy Safety Pin guided by older Girl Scouts. This is a great introduction to camp in just one day! Daisy, Grades PreK-1 Daisies are invited to dive into the world of STEAM with LEGO, robots, snacks, crafts and more! Daisies who attend this program will get a sneak peek into the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team experience. Daisies earn their Programming Robots and Designing Robots Badges. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center 63146 Junior, Grades 4-5 Do sharks sleep? Let’s investigate with a sleepover at the Saint Louis Aquarium! In addition to visiting with the sharks, Girl Scouts will learn about the importance of water stewardship and how we can take action on helping our rivers and oceans. Our sleepover will include an animal ambassador experience, a behind-the-scenes tour, and a sleepover in Shark Canyon! Drift off to sleep while sharks keep an eye on you. Meals and snacks are included. Due to capacity, we ask that only one adult per troop registers. Juniors earn their Animal Habitats Badge and receive a St. Louis Aquarium patch.
