American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Blended Learning

Course Description: This blended-learning course is for those who wish to become a First Aid/CPR/AED course instructor through the American Red Cross (ARC). The 2.5 hour online portion is found on the ARC website and must be completed before attending the eight-hour in-person skills session. This certification is valid for two years. Scholarships are available.

Participants will receive additional details and a link to register for and complete the online portion via email approximately one week before the in-person skills session.

Prerequisite: Current ARC Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Course Description: Everyone has mental health, and youth are experiencing mental health challenges at an ever-growing rate. In this course, volunteers will learn what mental health is and how to recognize the signs of mental health challenges. Participants will explore different scenarios that young people may experience and learn how to promote an environment within Girl Scouts for them and others to thrive and grow.
