Spring 2026 Lead & Learn

Wilderness and Remote First Aid

Level: All

Course Description: This American Red Cross (ARC) course equips general first aiders with a foundation of advanced first aid skills to respond to emergencies and provide care at activity locations without immediate response from emergency medical services (EMS). An activity’s general first aider is required to have this certification when EMS would take more than 30 minutes to arrive at a location. Participants must attend both days of this two-day, in-person course and complete all skills assessments. Some skills demonstrations may require strenuous physical activity. This certification is valid for two years. Girl Scouts 16 years and older are welcome to participate. Scholarships are available.

Prerequisite: Current ARC CPR/AED certification.
