2025 Spring Older Girl Mini Guide
Senior, Ambassador and Adult, Grades 9-12 This course is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award. Girl Scouts going for the Gold Award are required to attend this training; they will learn the seven steps necessary to complete their Gold Award project and how to submit their proposal on GoGold. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 63146 Cadette, Senior and Ambassador, Grades 6-12 Girl Scouts will take part in Girl Scout appropriate activities modeled after The Amazing Race . Girl Scouts will work together in small teams to solve clues, cross rugged terrain, interact with new people, and try to finish the race before the other groups. They do not need to have any previous experience, although this will be an active program so proper attire and being able to handle the outdoors is needed. Lunch and snacks are provided. Location: Camp Cedarledge, 63070 Cadette, Grades 6-8 As a Girl Scout aide, they will gain experience by sharing skills, testing knowledge, and trying out new leadership roles. Girl Scouts will become a certified Program Aide and will help facilitate the She and Me and a Cup of Tea Program. This program has two required sessions, and Girl Scouts will be required to volunteer for the She and Me and a Cup of Tea event on April 27. Dinner is provided for both training sessions. In this engaging workshop, we will be joined by a skilled ACT tutor, with a focus on understanding every single aspect of a particular question, as well as giving helpful advice on what to expect on test day. We’ll have a special ceremony and then jump into a series of challenges and games to determine who our victor is! After our game, we’ll settle in to watch The Hunger Games and spend the night with our Girl Scout friends. Girl Scouts receive a fun patch. In this hands-on session, students will learn practical strategies for interviewing, crafting an impressive resume, networking effectively, and presenting themselves confidently in professional settings. Whether preparing for a first job, an internship, or college interviews, this session will provide the tools and strategies needed to succeed. Girl Scouts receive a fun patch.
