Learn all about chemistry with the American Chemical Society! In this program, Girl Scouts will be guided by experienced chemists in different hands-on chemistry experiments. Join us and discover the magic of chemistry.

Join us for an exciting day trip to visit the state capitol in Jefferson City. Participants will tour the historic capitol building, see how state legislature works, and immerse themselves in the history of the Show Me State. All Girl Scouts will complete multiple steps of the Democracy Badge for their program level, details regarding these steps will be provided in the confirmation. Troops participating with five or more Girl Scouts are required to provide two adults. All individual Girl Scouts must have a registered adult attend with them. All participants will arrive by bus transportation together, wearing special event shirts that will be provided along with a snack!
Girl Scouts receive a fun patch and earn multiple parts of the Democracy Badge.

Junior Entertainment Technology April 16, 6-8 pm
Offered to: Junior Grades 4-5
Learn the ins and outs of how our favorite cartoons are animated and discover the secrets behind video game design. Girl Scout Juniors will learn how to use technology that they can apply to their own creative pursuits. We will discover the magic of movies, television shows, video games, and more!

Taking Action Through Citizen Science for Juniors April 19, 11 am-1:30 pm
Offered to: Junior Grades 4-5
Join us for this adventure where Girl Scouts become real-world scientists and changemakers! Juniors will learn what citizen science is, discovering how everyday people can help scientists collect important data about our world. Together, we’ll participate in a citizen science project, contributing observations that support ongoing research. Afterwards, Girl Scouts will start their Take Action award to educate others on the value of citizen science. Become an ambassador for science and change in our community!

Daisies will learn how people tell computers what to do, create their own instructions for a computer, and learn about the first person to ever write directions for a computer!

The climate is changing, bringing extreme shifts to our environment. Girl Scouts can make a difference in slowing the climate changes and helping us all prepare for the effects. In this patch program, Juniors will learn about climate science and find out about the local Missouri impacts. We will talk about difference options that can fulfill the climate project portion of the patch.
