Join us for a powerful and uplifting program in celebration of Black History Month—a time to honor the legacy, resilience, and achievements of Black individuals who have shaped history and continue to influence our world today. This event will feature a blend of storytelling, art, music, and interactive activities that highlight the rich cultural contributions and courageous voices of the Black community— past and present. We will have four virtual sessions throughout the month, each exploring a different topic. Supplies will be sent out so that Girl Scouts can follow along with our Program Managers and participate in fun and engaging activities. All sessions will be recorded, so Girl Scouts can still join us even if they cannot attend all of the sessions live.

This training workshop is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors who are interested in beginning their Gold Award. All Girl Scouts are eligible to earn this prestigious award, regardless if they earned the Silver Award as a Cadette. Please note that this is an expanded version of the required Gold Award training, therefore, Girl Scouts who attends this workshop will not have to attend additional training. Participants will learn the seven steps necessary to complete their Gold Award project, hear from Gold Award alum, meet members of the Gold Award committee, and begin working in the GoGold website. Since this workshop is provided for Seniors and Ambassador Girl Scouts, we welcome interested caregivers and troop leaders to attend a shorter Gold Award training session provided throughout the year.
