By-Laws: Rules that guide and regulate the governance of Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri; can only be changed by a vote of the Representative Assembly

Camp Adventure Guide: This annual publication helps families choose the right outdoor adventure for their Girl Scout. It is mailed to all registered Girl Scout families and includes Troop, Day and Resident Camp opportunities

Camp Supervisor: A volunteer trained to provide assistance to troops utilizing Council-owned camp properties. The Camp Supervisor is on site during troop stays at camp and helps campers comply with camp regulations

Charter: Document issued by GSUSA which authorizes Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri to provide Girl Scout programs to members within the Eastern Missouri jurisdiction. The charter is renewed every four years, provided Eastern Missouri is operating in compliance with GSUSA Council Chartering Measures

Cookie Cupboard: Sites throughout the Eastern Missouri jurisdiction where troops can pick up additional packages or cases of cookies during the Cookie Program; locations provided by volunteers. Schedule and site directory can be found in the Troop Cookie Guide published annually prior to the program

Council-Owned Site: Property owned, operated and managed by Eastern Missouri

Counselor, Camp: An adult leadership staff member at a Girl Scout Day Camp or Resident Camp

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR ): A procedure to circulate blood that contains oxygen to the brain and vital organs when the heart stops

Community Troop Coordinator (CTC): A staff member dedicated to establishing and leading troops in schools in specified areas

Day Camp: Outdoor camp program held during the day or evening; campers go home at night. These programs take place during the summer at city, county and state parks or on private land

Delegate: A member of the Representative Assembly who is elected by their neighborhood, or who belongs to one of the following categories: District Manager, member of the Board of Directors, member of the Board Development Committee

Dessert First: Annual Council-sponsored fundraising event. Local chefs create unique desserts using Girl Scout Cookies
