destinations: Nationally-sponsored trips designed exclusively for Girl Scouts. Girls apply individually. Information on current destinations is available on the GSUSA website
Digital Cookie: A personalized cookie site with fun ways for girls to learn about running their cookie business. With digital cookie, customers can place an online order for their favorite Girl Scout Cookies and pay with a credit card for shipping or choose girl delivery
Direct Primary: The troop leader and assistant leader—these individuals have access to troop information in the Member Community and can make edits in the Volunteer Toolkit
District: Geographic subdivision of the Council service area; currently 17 districts in Eastern Missouri
District Equipment: Camping and program equipment available for use by troops; stored at locations within each district
District Event: A program planned and carried out by district volunteers, with staff assistance, for one or more grade levels of Girl Scouting in a district
Diversity: In Girl Scouting, diversity is defined as providing Girl Scout program/membership for girls and adults from all race/ethnic groups, all religions, all socioeconomic conditions and with all abilities
Diversity Hall of Fame: This Council award recognizes individuals, groups, agencies, institutions and organizations that have made outstanding contributions with respect to diversity in Eastern Missouri
Doubleknot: The online registration system for Troop Camp unit reservations
Dues, National Membership: Fee to become a member of Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA). GSUSA uses membership dues to pay for program development, research, technology, resources, training, services to Councils and accident insurance, which covers members participating in approved Girl Scout activities
Dues, Troop: Money collected from girls at each Girl Scout meeting to pay for supplies, patches, snacks, etc. Troops determine how much their dues will be

Emerson Resource Center: Library with more than 2,000 resources, including games, educational videos, music CDs, publications, props for ceremonies and safety equipment; located within the Eastern Missouri Girl Scout Service Center
