The sky isn’t the limit in Girl Scouts! Older girls will get the opportunity to learn about aviation by meeting with aviation professionals including pilots and engineers and experiencing a virtual flight simulation. Girls also learn about Wings of Hope’s mission and their humanitarian programs around the world. Location: Wings of Hope, 18370 Wings of Hope Boulevard, Chesterfield 63005 Grades 4-5 Girl Scout Juniors will become super savers—of money and lives! Learn about making smart money decisions through comparison shopping, exploring needs and wants, and goal setting. Then, learn how to help save others by earning your Junior First Aid Badge. Discover how to handle emergency situations, practice basic first aid skills and create a portable first aid kit. Girl Scout Juniors will earn their First Aid Badge and their Savvy Shopper Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Offered to: Air is everywhere in this Journey for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. As the girls explore the air all around them, they’ll learn a lot of air-clearing strategies, including how to turn down the volume! That means they’ll be improving their personal air space—and finding the breathing room necessary to be leaders who make the most of their special flair! The Cadettes will also meet scientists, engineers, writers, and artists—all of them working for Earth’s air! A Cadette Journey is a prerequisite to the Girl Scout Silver Award. After this program, girls will need to implement a Take Action Project to complete the Breathe Journey.
