If a Girl Scout wants an in-depth look at what it takes to earn the Gold Award, the Go For Gold Workshop might be right for them instead (see 2024-2025 Inspire Discovery for details, as this workshop is solely for Seniors and Ambassadors). Go For Gold allows Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors to meet Gold Award committee members, hear from prior Gold Award earners, network with other participants, and spend time brainstorming and researching options for their project.

Girl-only Go For Gold Workshop dates: Feb. 17, April 26, and Aug. 6. See 2024-2025 Inspire Discovery for additional information.

The Mental Wellness Patch Program: Why It Matters and How to Implement It (GSUSA)

Level: Junior-Ambassador

Course Description : Welcome to the Mental Wellness Patch Program. GSUSA has made a commitment to support mental wellness for every Girl Scout. In this 20-minute course, volunteers will learn best practices for holding a Mental Wellness Patch Program to give their Girl Scouts the tools and support they need to better understand and care for their mental health. The Mental Wellness Patch Program is program level-specific, designed for Juniors, Cadettes, and Seniors and Ambassadors. It is highly recommended that volunteers complete the Mental Wellness 101 (GSUSA) and Delivering Inclusive Program (GSUSA) courses before starting this one. Doing both offers volunteers a chance to get the most out of the Mental Wellness Patch Program and helps them learn how to promote a healthy environment where Girl Scouts can thrive and grow.

Course Access : Course available in the Content Library in gsLearn.
