Offered to: Senior | Ambassador Grades 9-12 This course is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest community service award a high-school aged girl can earn. Parents, caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend, too! Girls going for the Gold Award are required to attend this training; they will learn the seven steps necessary to complete their Gold Award project and how to submit their proposal on Go Gold. Location: Virtual or Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Offered to: Daisy Grades K-1 Camping is a fun adventure, and during this badge program, you will get to explore the outdoors and practice the skills to help you go camping, including setting up a tent. Let's get ready to have some outdoor fun! Offered to: Brownie Grades 2-3 Brownies will use their senses and other tools to gather information and learn about the natural world. Girl Scouts will explore temperature, measure and graph data about leaves and start to learn about square feet, diagrams, and grids. Girl Scout Brownies will earn their Math in Nature 2: Numbers in Nature Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Offered to: Brownie Grades 2-3 It’s great to have a clean home, and even better if it’s a clean, green home! In this badge, pick up some new household habits to help your family save energy, save water, and save the planet! Girl Scout Brownies will earn their Household Elf Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Offered to: Junior Grades 4-5 Girls will learn about simple machines and how they work together, including the equipment that designed and built the Gateway Arch! Girls will then work to design, build, and test their own heavy-lifting crane. Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Mechanical Engineering: Crane Design Challenge Badge. Location: Gateway Arch National Park, 11 N 4th St., St. Louis, MO 63102 Offered to: Junior Grades 4-5 Girl Scout Juniors will explore how paddle boats work before designing, building and testing their own rubber band-powered paddle boat. Girls will also learn about the important role of paddle boats throughout St. Louis history with Gateway Arch National Park. Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Mechanical Engineering: Paddle Boat Design Challenge Badge.
