ADULT COURSES

AMERICAN RED CROSS CPR INSTRUCTOR: ALL By successfully completing this course, Girl Scout volunteers will receive an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, valid for two years. Each year the American Red Cross teaches lifesaving skills to Girl Scout volunteers Council wide creating a safe environment for girls. This is only possible with your help. Please consider devoting some of your time to make the world a better place by becoming an American Red Cross CPR Instructor! Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri needs CPR Instructors to deliver training to volunteers so they can serve as First Aiders.

Prerequisites: Current basic level certification in Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) from the American Red Cross or an equivalent. Contact Shaun Lindhoff at 314.400.4628 or slindhoff@girlscoutsem.org with questions.

Participants must complete an online training session before attending the in-person session. The online session consists of an orientation to the American Red Cross, an orientation to the First Aid/CPR/AED program and the First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course and content on how to prepare for and teach the courses in this program. The online session takes approximately 2 hours to complete. The instructor will send participants information on the online session via email approximately two weeks prior to the in-person session. Both in-person sessions are required.

Fee is due at registration and includes the American Red Cross Certification, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor and Participant Manuals and Adult and Pediatric Ready Reference Cards. Financial assistance is available.

ADULT AND CHILD FIRST AID/CPR/AED: ALL Certification: Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certification is valid for two years. This course is for those who wish to obtain certification as a First Aider. Demonstration of skills is required for certification. Girls 16 years of age and older are welcome to attend.

Course fee is due at registration and includes the American Red Cross Certification and Participant Manual. Financial assistance is available.

Adult or Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Ready Reference Skill Cards will be available for purchase during the course for $4 each or you may download them from redcross.org at no charge. The CPR keychain with face shield and gloves will be available for purchase during the course for $4.75 each.
