ORIENTATION FOR OUTDOOR ADVENTURE COURSE: Get certified and take girls, sixth-grade and 12 years old or older, through the Camp Tuckaho Outdoor Adventure Course, a program designed to develop self-confidence, trust and cooperation by working to overcome physical and mental obstacles. Certification is valid for one year. As part of this certification, participants must complete a provisional (teach an OAC course with a Lead Instructor) within one year. A one-day re-certification course must be completed each year thereafter. Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors may participate in this course and once they have completed their provisional, they will be an Assistant Instructor. They will not be eligible to earn their OAC Trainer certification until they turn 18 years of age. All participants must bring a completed Adult Activity Waiver to participate (VP-84). Senior and Ambassador girls must bring a Girl Health History and Annual Permission Form (F-57) to participate. Males must be 18-years-old to participate.
This course is very physical and strenuous. Both sessions are required. A fee of $40 is due at registration to cover the cost of food and accommodations. Financial assistance is available.

TROOP ORGANIZER TRAINING: ALL Calling all new and returning Troop Organizers! Whether you are brand new to the position or have years of experience, orientation will provide you all the resources for a successful fall recruitment season. New this year, orientation will take place in the spring prior to the end of the school year and provide different tracks based on experience. Track A will include all the necessary details to get a first year Troop Organizer off to a great start. Track B will provide experienced Troop Organizers with additional resources on how to grow their community and school experience. Both tracks will include recruitment materials and information on the new Daisy Drop Box program.
