USA ARCHERY LEVEL 1: Adult volunteers delivering an archery program or training (on or off Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri properties) must be USA Archery Level 1 certified. Re-certification is required for adult volunteers who have a previous archery certification from Girl Scouts. Girls 16 years of age and older are welcome to participate. A $40 fee is due at registration to cover the cost of course materials and USA Archery Level 1 certification. Note: USA Archery Level 1 certification is a course required of those who wish to teach beginning archery skills to Brownies through Ambassadors. This certification must be renewed every three years. Financial assistance is available.

Any group of 10 people wishing to schedule an off-calendar class should contact the Adult Education Department at 314.400.4628 or slindhoff@girlscoutsem.org . Arrangements need to be made at least two weeks prior to the class date so a range can be reserved and materials ordered.

ORIENTATION FOR CAMP SUPERVISORS: ALL This course is required for volunteers who want to be a Camp Supervisor at Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Camps. Participants learn how to effectively communicate with Council staff and campers, coordinate camp program activities and follow Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri policies and procedures. Prerequisite: Camp Supervisors must be certified in Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED and be Troop Camp certified through Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. Bring proof of certifications to the course. After completing this course, participants are required to serve an apprenticeship with an experienced Camp Supervisor.

ORIENTATION FOR ANHEUSER-BUSCH NATURE CENTER GUIDES (F.R.O.G.): ALL After completing this course, volunteers become a Friendly Resource Options Guide (F.R.O.G.). This certification provides volunteers with the knowledge they need to access and use Anheuser-Busch Nature Center supplies at Camp Tuckaho.

Note: Consider registering for the Hands-On Nature Activities Workshop that immediately follows this course. Check it out on pg. 49 and register for both. You’ll be glad that you did!

ORIENTATION FOR DELEGATES TO THE REPRESENTATIVE ASSEMBLY: ALL This course is offered to adult volunteers and girl members who were elected to serve as Delegates to the Representative Assembly. In this course you will learn about the responsibilities, policies and procedures related to this role, as well as parliamentary procedure.
