Making Memorable Moments Some of the most memorable moments in a G.I.R.L. ’s life happen while taking trips. Traveling with her Girl Scout sisters is just another adventure she can embark on while developing skills essential to leadership, to success and to life. Travel is built on a progression of activities—one activity leads to the next. As girls grow in their travel skills and can better manage the planning process, they can progress to longer and more detailed trips. When planning, consider your girls’ abilities to be away from their families and homes, adapt to unfamiliar surroundings and situations, make decisions for themselves and the good of the group, get along with each other and handle challenges, as well as their previous cross-cultural experiences, skills and interests.
