Offered to: Grades 4-5 Girls experience the Safety House, giving them the opportunity to learn how to extinguish various types of kitchen fires, plan for weather situations, understand the proper way to escape from a room during a fire and discover the tools used by firefighters. To help Girl Scouts strengthen the skills she learns about safety and First Aid, each girl receives a family take-home kit which includes a mini booklet so her family can create their emergency plan and also a DIY First Aid kit to keep on hand. Girl Scout Juniors earn their Safety Pin and First Aid Badge. Location: West County Safety House, 13790 Manchester Rd., Manchester 63021 Grades 4-8 Brainstorming, planning, designing, building and testing are all part of the engineering process. Under the guidance of female engineering students from the Society of Women Engineers at Washington University, girls work through two exciting engineering challenges. Offered to: Grades 6-12 Join Girl Scouts all around the country for the largest girl-led experience in Orlando! Girls enjoy engaging Girl Scout activities focused on being a G.I.R.L. . To complete a fun-filled weekend, girls also attend a celebration at an Orlando Theme park. This is an individual girl trip and interested troops are encouraged to plan a troop trip instead. Girls must have a valid passport to travel. Flight, meals, transportation, lodging and activity costs are included in the fee.
