Offered to: Grades 2-3 Photo Explorations will work with girls to earn their My Best Self Badge through fun projects such as creating an art project about themselves and making a photo portrait to represent a unique quality. Brownies will enjoy activities led by a health professional centered around living a healthy life and taking care of our bodies and minds through movement and other skills. Girls will also have the opportunity to taste delicious new snacks. Girl Scout Brownies earn their My Best Self Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades K-12, Adults Come share your love of the great outdoors with your Girl Scout sisters the weekend of September 12-13 and revel in the magic and wonder of nature. This event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy fresh air, see memorable sights and get inspired. Girl Scouts are welcome to bring a non-member friend or family member along for the day! Locations: Elephant Rocks State Park, First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site, Johnson’s Shut-ins State Park, Wakonda State Park Grades 11-12 This new workshop, designed especially for Girl Scout Ambassadors, will focus on intermediate photography skills like still and portrait studio lighting and nature and action photography. At the conclusion of the program, girls will have the opportunity to exhibit their photography at a Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri exhibit. Girl Scout Ambassadors earn their Photographer Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 4-5 Juniors discover how computers read information and how to keep that information safe from malware and other potential attacks. By earning this badge, girls will learn the basics of how computers communicate. Girl Scout Juniors earn their Cybersecurity Basics Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 4-5 This program is the perfect opportunity for Juniors who want to get started earning their Girl Scout Bronze Awards! After completing the aMUSE! Journey, girls will have a clear sense of their individual identities, a greater understanding of what it means to be emotionally and physically happy, as well as be able to consider multiple perspectives on issues. Girls will work on team-building so they can select conflict-resolution strategies and are able to maintain cooperation on their teams. Girl Scout Juniors earn their aMUSE! Journey Award and know how to Take Action when they leave. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades K-12, Adults Equipped with bags, gloves and a strong sense of purpose—girls will work together to clean up their community.
