Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 6-12 (must be at least 12 years old) Girl Scouts returns to the Boundary Waters for a canoe outdoor experience of a lifetime! This program provides girls the opportunity to become truly immersed in nature. Upon arrival, girls are split into crews and taught proper canoeing form and camping skills by a trained guide. These guides lead girls throughout their entire journey, from the day trips on the water to setting up campsites and everything in-between. This is a perfect summer experience for an adventurous Girl Scout who is not afraid to try new things and take a hands-on approach to experiencing wilderness along the Canadian border! To ensure a girl-led experience, mother/daughter registrants will not be placed in the same crew for the trip. Crews will be divided by five girls and two adults. This trip is a great experience for an adult volunteer to engage in the wilderness and be a role model for our older girls! Adults interested in this experience should contact aroehl@girlscoutsem.org to begin the application process. Transportation will be provided from the Girl Scout Service Center. Grades 2-3 Hurry hurry—Girl Scouts are Kansas City bound this summer! We will load up on the bus and leave St. Louis, stopping for an early lunch before spending an amazing afternoon of wonder at the SEA Life Kansas City Aquarium. Girls will have the opportunity to explore and learn all about the fascinating animals and marine life who call our oceans home. The next morning, we will enjoy the ride back to St. Louis discussing all the awesome discoveries we made!
