Offered to: Grades K-1 Girl Scouts tour the Botanical Garden looking for their Daisy Flower Friends and learn how flowers make the world a better place. Examine a working composting bin and discover how worms help plants grow. View a beehive and determine how flowers and bees help one another. Each Girl Scout plants and learns to care for her own fairy garden! Parents and leaders are invited to stay, but they must register before the event. Price includes admission to the Children’s Garden. Grades 6-12 The sky isn't the limit in Girl Scouts! Older girls will get an opportunity to learn about aviation by meeting with aviation professionals including pilots and engineers, experiencing a virtual flight simulation and even getting hands-on experience in airline maintenance. Girls also learn about Wings of Hope's mission and their humanitarian programs around the globe. Offered to: Grades K-1 It is the perfect time to learn about our state government and visit the beautiful Capital building! Upon arriving in Jefferson City, girls will be captivated by the many historic buildings and state landmarks. Offered to: Grades 9-12 (2019-2020 school year) The Empowerment Project is back for summer 2020! Our premier high school leadership experience will engage our girls to empower themselves and their community through hands-on projects and experiences. Girls will stay at a local university in dorm-style living and experience all of the amazing sites of St. Louis along with working with professional women in a mentor role. Girl Scout Seniors earn all of the steps to the GIRLtopia Journey and receive instructions on their Take Action project. A Senior Journey is a prerequisite to the Girl Scout Gold Award which is the highest honor a girl can achieve!
