Offered to: Grades 2-5 Join us as we take a road trip up the Mississippi River to Dubuque, Iowa! Along the way, we’ll make stops at Burlington and the Quad Cities. During an overnight stay at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, we’ll explore the history, culture, animals and conservation found along the Mighty Mississippi. Additional stops will include the Field of Dreams movie site and cave exploration at Maquoketa Caves State Park. Girl Scout Brownies earn their Bugs Badge and Girl Scout Juniors earn their Animal Habitats Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Offered to: Grades 5-8 Cadette Camp-A-Rama is a weekend of fun planned in an outdoor setting at Camp Tuckaho. Girls will be surrounded by new and old friends, participate in an array of hands-on activities and learn an incredible amount about themselves. In addition to traditional camp program activities such as swimming, canoeing, outdoor cooking, hiking, crafts and archery, girls get a chance to choose from a variety of high interest activities. Upon arrival, girls receive a schedule of additional activities noting times. Girls have the opportunity to choose which activities they want to participate in. Some activities, meals and all camp programs are assigned times for participation. This is an individual girl event for bridging Girl Scout Juniors and Girl Scout Cadettes; however troops (girls and at least one adult volunteer) may be assigned to the same unit. Extra adult volunteers could be assigned to a different unit. Please note buddy requests when registering. A confirmation; including unit assignment, what to bring, check-in and check-out and other important information will be sent two weeks prior to event date. Girl Scout Seniors, Ambassadors and adult volunteers are also needed. Offered to: Grades 9-12, Adults Girl Scout Seniors, Ambassadors and adult volunteers are needed to participate in the implementation of the popular weekend event, Cadette Camp-A-Rama. An “in-town” session is held at the Girl Scouts Service Center in May. Please plan to attend as important information will be provided to help prepare you for the weekend. You will also have the opportunity to sign up for a variety of volunteer positions available. At least one of the adult volunteers registering with a troop will be placed in the same unit with the troop. However, extra adults from troops may be assigned to a different unit, if needed, depending on the staffing needs in the units.
