This new workshop includes science, dance, art and music—teaching Girl Scouts how to dance like stars, fly through the cosmos, create the moon with brushes and paint and so much more! Location: DaySpring School of the Arts, 2500 Metro Blvd., Maryland Heights 63043 Grades K-12, Adults Come see our Robotics teams strut their stuff at the fifth annual Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Robotics Showcase! This event is open to the public and is a wonderful opportunity for troops interested in Robotics to check out the program and learn a little more about FIRST™ . Offered to: Offered to: Grades 2-12 Join us for our fifth annual Pack the Creek and celebrate the season opening of the climbing wall and zipline. Spend either Saturday or Sunday at Camp Fiddlecreek and enjoy all camp has to offer. Brownies through Ambassadors will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of the climbing wall and zipline, archery, canoeing and program activities. Girls do not have to be a member of a troop to participate. A registered adult must accompany individually-registered girls. Troops must meet girl-to-adult ratio. Location: Camp Fiddlecreek, 558 Daisy Ln., Labadie 63055 Offered to: Grades 6-12 (must be at least 12 years old) Adventure alert! Older girls have the opportunity to learn about safety and the proper techniques of shooting a rifle in a controlled and safe environment. Girl Scout Seniors complete Steps 1-3 of their Adventurer Badge. Location: August A. Busch Shooting Range, 3550 Hwy. D, Defiance 63341 Grades K-1 It is National Police Week and to celebrate, Gerri helps Girl Scout Daisies learn how to respect authority. What better way to learn that than meeting a real-life police officer from our community? We will be reading the story of Gerri, practicing what we learned and asking hard-hitting questions to our guests. Girl Scout Daisies complete the Gerri Petal. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 4-5 Enjoy a unique opportunity to step back in time! Dress in 1820s attire, choose a name from the time period and become that girl while taking an interactive tour of the Historic Sappington House. Girls learn how to make butter, try out toys and games and design period clothes for paper dolls. In small group collaboration, girls apply what they have learned to make and share a skit with their paper dolls, exploring daily life, activities, feelings and envisioning what life was like in the 1820s.
