Science of Sound April 19 Start: 11 am End: 4 pm $25 per girl

Offered to: Grades 4-5 What is sound? How do instruments work? This special STEAM program reveals the science behind the music all around us. Girls will enjoy an interactive presentation from an educator with the St. Louis Science Center. Following the presentation, they will have an opportunity to design, engineer and test their own unique musical instrument and attend a St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Family Concert at Powell Hall to experience how musicians turn the science of sound into art. Girl Scout Juniors earn their Musician Badge. They will also discover some new household habits to help their families save energy, save water and ultimately save the planet. Girl Scout Brownies earn their Household Elf Badge.
