2021 MEMBERSHIP RE-REGISTRATON TROOP EXPERIENCES Girl Scout troops with 70 percent or higher registration from April 1-30 will earn a custom troop experience of their choice. Our older girls (Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors) can select from the following Microsoft adventures, curated just for them! For all the details on spring re-registration, turn to pgs. 6-7.

At Microsoft, troops can choose from four awesome adventures inspired by Harry Potter and the Netflix series Stanger Things .

Camp Know Where: Rule the Arcade

Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit Workshop

It’s no surprise that the kids in Stranger Things spend a lot of time in the arcade in Hawkins. It’s even where they meet one of their new best friends, Max; she might be the best video game player the town has ever seen! In this camp, attendees will be told Hawkins is putting in a new arcade, and they will get to be the ones to design the games to fill it. First, they need to learn how: students will put a “stranger” twist on the games, design their sprites after characters and creatures from the show, and do so through in-world inspired storylines.

This workshop introduces girls to the foundational concepts of coding. Participants will follow simple steps with drag-and-drop code blocks and create Harry Potter spell motions, magical creatures and artifacts, all with the coding wand and a Surface device.

Create Magical Moments with Photos

Girls discover how to create magical videos including mixed reality and 3D using Photos, one of the exciting new apps included with Windows 10. With Photos, it is easy to turn treasured memories into your own personal videos with music, captions, 3D effects and more. Re-register beginning April 1, 2020! In this troop experience, Girl Scouts use Mixed Reality to insert themselves into the world of Stranger Things . They will be encouraged to create their own creatures for the world and create a story or adventure the kids
