“Under Missouri law, an equine activity sponsor, an equine professional, a livestock activity sponsor, a livestock owner, a livestock facility, a livestock auction market, or any employee thereof is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine or livestock activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine or livestock activities pursuant to the Revised Statutes of Missouri.”

All equestrian programs follow Girl Scouts of the USA Safety Standards as outlined in Safety Activity Checkpoints .

Go online to girlscoutsem.org/programs to check openings and register. Refund requests will be honored if made at least two weeks before your program. Refunds must be in writing and emailed to answercenter@girlscoutsem.org .

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all in-person Girl Scout programs, troop camping and events, including Girl Scout school activities and facility rentals, are canceled through at least Friday, July 31, and all resident and day camps are canceled through summer 2020.

ADVENTURE ALERT! BOW AND ARROW CLUB

The Bow and Arrow Club is the perfect group for new and experienced archers alike! Girls learn about different types of archery ranges, proper shooting technique and stance, parts of the bow and arrow, games and more. Participants must commit to attend all sessions to gain the full experience. The final session will include a fun archery competition with all Bow and Arrow Club girls.

GIRL SCOUTS LOVE STATE PARKS Sept. 12-13 10 am-2 pm

Cost: $5 per girl or adult; patch included Registration Deadline: Aug. 31

Come share your love of the great outdoors with Girl Scout sisters the weekend of September 12-13 and revel in the magic and wonder of nature. This event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy fresh air, see memorable sights and get inspired. Girl Scouts are welcome to bring a non-member friend or family member along for the day!

Locations: Elephant Rock State Park, First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site, Johnson's Shut-ins State Park and Wakonda State Park
