Fall 2025 Lead & Learn

Getting Started

At Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, we are committed to making volunteer training as convenient, enjoyable and accessible as possible. We offer courses in a variety of ways—online, virtual and in person—to reach people where they are while still fostering a sense of community within our council. Whether completing a required certification, upskilling for a new volunteer role or gaining knowledge to enhance their troop experience, Girl Scouts is here for our volunteers throughout their learning journeys.

Adult Learning Catalog Courses and learning paths in this catalog are grouped by category to make it easy for volunteers to find exactly what they are looking for. The following categories may be found in the Fall Lead & Learn : • Archery (pg. 14) • Badges, Awards, Patches and Programs (pg. 18) • Cookie and Treats & Reads Programs (pg. 24) • First Aid, CPR and Mental Wellness (pg. 27) • Service Team and Camp Volunteers (pg. 31) • Technology and Platforms (pg. 38) • Troop Camping and Outdoor Skills (pg. 40) • Troop Management (pg. 46) Courses and Learning Paths A learning path is a group of courses bundled by topic or audience. For a learning path to show as complete in gsLearn, all courses within it must be complete. Who May Participate in Adult Courses? Adults must have a current GSEM membership to participate in our courses. Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors are welcome to attend most in-person courses in this catalog unless otherwise indicated, but a caregiver must register them for an adult course by contacting the Answer Center at 314.400.4600. Program Levels Following each course title is an indication of what Girl Scout program level (Daisy—Ambassador or All) would benefit from an adult completing that course.

How Courses Appear in gsLearn vs. Lead & Learn Course titles in gsLearn begin with “548” or “GSUSA” to indicate where the course originated. 548 is our council’s unique code and GSUSA is our national organization. These prefixes are omitted in course titles in Lead & Learn for clarity. Scholarships Scholarships are available for volunteers participating in certain adult courses. To apply for a scholarship, register for a course as usual, pay the minimum deposit due, and complete a Scholarship Application . NEW in Lead & Learn —Direct Links to gsLearn All courses in gsLearn may now be accessed using direct links in Lead & Learn . Clicking a link takes a learner directly to the course in gsLearn after being prompted to log in to their myGS account. This feature is only available to adult Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri members. Courses or programs not in gsLearn will not have a direct link.
