Cultural Assets Archives 101 (GSUSA)

Level: All

Course Description : Calling all Girl Scout history buffs and future archivists! This is no scrapbooking class— learn how to handle and conserve archival objects and documents and apply archival best practices to work and storage spaces in this new course from GSUSA. Volunteers will learn to identify areas of their own archives that need attention and organization and understand how to leverage their personal Girl Scout collections with our council. This 25-minute course is also great for anyone interested in archiving personal memorabilia from any topic of interest.

Delivering Inclusive Program (GSUSA)

Course Description : In this 20-minute online course, volunteers will learn the importance of, and practice using, inclusive and equitable language to support the identities of all Girl Scouts and foster a cohesive troop environment.

F.R.O.G.s (Friendly Resource Options Guide) Training Level: All

Certification Course

Course Description : This course certifies volunteers to be Friendly Resource Options Guides (F.R.O.G.s) at the Anheuser-Busch Nature Center at Camp Tuckaho. Volunteers gain the knowledge they need to access and use exclusive supplies and activities that are unavailable to casual visitors at the Nature Center. Volunteers receive hands-on experience with a sampling of exciting nature activities they can do with their troop. Don’t miss it!

Course Description : This course is required annually for registered volunteers currently certified in American Red Cross lifeguarding who wish to lifeguard on GSEM properties.
