USA Archery Level 2 Instructor

Certification Course

Level: Brownie-Ambassador

Course Description : The USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certification course provides participants the necessary tools to serve as the lead instructor for long-term archery programs such as Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Adult Archery and Collegiate Archery Program clubs, and the Explore Archery Program. To complete the requirements for this certification, students must successfully pass the USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certification online course, including the online exam, and register for and complete the Level 2 Instructor in-person skills session. In addition to passing the online course, instructors must complete the U.S. Center for SafeSport training (online), possess a current USA Archery Background Screening as well as a holding a current USA Archery or National Field Archery Association membership. The USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certification online course includes the Level 1 Instructor course information and provides students with an introduction to the National Training System (NTS) Steps of Shooting for recurve and compound bows, equipment and accessory setup, athlete development, and events.

USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification is NOT a prerequisite for this course.

Girls 18 years and older are welcome to participate. This USA Archery certification is valid for three years and is renewable online through USA Archery via the USA Archery Level 2 Renewal course in gsLearn.

USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certification is required to become a USA Archery instructor trainer for our council. Instructors who complete this certification plus the USA Archery Instructor Trainer online course ($30 fee) may teach USA Archery Level 1 Instructor courses for GSEM volunteers. Course Registration : Register for an in-person practical skills session by opening the course in the Content Library, selecting Start This Course, and clicking Register next to the desired date. Participants will then receive detailed instructions via email on how to navigate the USA Archery website and pay the $50 required for the online course and $35 required for the USA Archery background screening. U.S. Center for SafeSport Training is also accessed via the USA Archery website. Additional membership fees to USA Archery or National Field Archery Association must be paid for separately.
