USA Archery Level 1 Instructor

Certification Course

Level: Brownie-Ambassador

Course Description : USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification is required for volunteers who wish to teach beginning archery skills to Brownies through Ambassadors, on or off GSEM property. In Level 1, participants learn about range safety and setup, the steps of shooting, equipment use and repair, and how to teach beginner-level students. Girls 16 years and older are welcome to participate. This USA Archery certification is valid for three years and is renewable online through USA Archery via the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Renewal course in gsLearn. Course Registration : Register for an in-person practical skills session by opening the course in the Content Library of gsLearn, selecting Start This Course, then clicking Register next to the desired date. Participants will then receive detailed instructions via email on how to navigate the USA Archery website, pay the $40 fee, and complete the online course. If registrants do not receive these instructions immediately after registering, please contact Adult Education at adulteducation@girlscoutsem.org .

USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Renewal Level: Brownie-Ambassador

Certification Course

Course Description : USA Archery allows members to renew their certifications online if their current three year certification has not expired. This self-paced, one-hour online refresher course costs $40 and may only be accessed via the USA Archery website. Once members receive a completion certificate, they must upload it to the final course module for gsLearn to acknowledge this course as complete. As this is a new renewal process, please contact Adult Education at adulteducation@girlscoutsem.org with any questions. If a volunteer’s USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification has expired, they are not eligible to complete this online-only refresher through USA Archery. They must instead complete the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor blended-learning course. Course Access : Course available in the Content Library in gsLearn. Instructions for accessing the USA Archery website and uploading the new completion certificate to gsLearn are available upon opening the course and selecting Start This Course.
