Cooking for Crowds at Camp

Certification Course
Course Description: This course is required for adult volunteers who wish to use dining hall kitchens at Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Camps. A minimum of one adult volunteer per kitchen crew must be certified in Cooking for Crowds at Camp. Participants learn policies and procedures for operating and cleaning the facilities, equipment, and appliances. Practical hands-on experience is a key component of this course. Lunch is provided—just bring a drink to class!

F.R.O.G.s (Friendly Resource Options Guides) Training
Level: All
Course Description: After completing this course, volunteers become an official Friendly Resource Options Guide i.e., F.R.O.G. This course provides volunteers with the knowledge they need to access and use Anheuser Busch Nature Center supplies at Camp Tuckaho. As a special bonus, this course also includes demonstrations and participation in some hands-on nature activities you can do with your troop. Don’t miss it!

Girl Scouts in the Outdoors (GSUSA) Level: All Course Description: Getting outside is great for a girl’s overall well-being and growth and it can be an amazing part of the Girl Scout experience. This approximately four-hour course from GSUSA will introduce troop leaders to ways they can share the outdoors with their troop. Course Access: Course available in the Content Library in gsLearn.
