Offered to: Grades 9-12 Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors learn about the world of cybersecurity with the Maryville University Chapter of Women in Cybersecurity. Girls will learn how computers hide information, design their own layered security system, and learn more about cybersecurity professionals keep computer networks safe. Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors earn their Cybersecurity 1: Basics Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 6-8 Our digital world makes it easy to stay in touch and share friendships, memories, and ideas. But we’ve all heard embarrassing stories in which people wish they never hit the “send” button. Once you’ve put it out there, it never goes away. This program is all about knowing how to make positive choices in the online world. Offered to: Offered to: Grades K-1 Robots are becoming more common in our world and are used to solve problems big and small. In this program, Daisies will explore the world of robotics and engineering. They will plan and build a prototype of a robot that solves an everyday problem. Girl Scout Daisies will earn their Designing Robots Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 2-3 Snacks give us fuel to do all the things we love—from Girl Scouts to school to sports to play—and learning how to feed yourself is an important part of growing up! This program will explore snack habits, smart snacking and simple recipes for healthy and delicious snacks. All snack recipes will be nut-free. Please reach out if you have other questions about dietary restrictions. Girl Scout Brownies will earn their Snacks Badge. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 2300 Ball Dr., St. Louis 63146 Grades 2-5 Guided by Kappa Deltas, Brownies and Juniors will work on their Think Like an Engineer Journey and find out how engineers use design thinking to solve problems. They will work together to complete three design thinking activities specialized for their level. At the time of registration, please select the correct Girl Scout program level. A Junior Journey is a prerequisite to the Girl Scout Bronze Award. After this program, girls will need to implement a Take Action Project to complete the Think Like an Engineer Journey.
