LEADERSHIP AWARDS

The Leadership Awards help Girl Scouts develop practical skills that truly make a difference and give them the confidence to turn their ideas into action. Whether they’re discovering what leadership means, working in a team, leading a group, or facing a new challenge, these awards are designed to help Girl Scouts explore what leadership means to them—without pressure, just space to practice and grow.

Leadership Awards can be a prerequisite to earning a Highest Award, too! Girl Scouts can earn these awards on their own, at events or camp, troop meetings, or even in their community. The GSEM Program Team will be offering a variety of programs with the Leadership Awards. Eligible programs will be noted in the program listing.

Leadership Awards • Personal Leadership: Girl Scouts start with themselves to develop confidence and courage to lead their way. • Peer Leadership: Girl Scouts can be an amazing partner while they learn to lead a group. • Teaching Leadership: Girl Scouts share their skills and inspire practical leadership. • Community Advocacy: Girl Scouts turn their passions into action by creating local or global change.
