Interested in pursuing a Highest Award but not sure how to get started? Join us for a program to learn about the Highest Awards—Bronze, Silver and Gold! Girl Scouts in grades 4-12, caregivers and leaders are welcome to attend this discussion group to hear general information about the awards and the requirements to earn, meet other Girl Scouts pursuing awards, and have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss ideas.

Babysitter and First Aid—Cadette Saturday, May 15 9:30 am-3 pm

Offered to: Cadette Grades 6-8

Babysitting is a great way to build responsibility and caregiving skills (and earn some extra money!). In this course, we’ll cover how to start a babysitting business, professionalism, child development, and complete a first aid course including coverage of CPR skill (we will not be CPR certified in this program). Participants will receive a certificate of completion for the course.

Interested in trying out robotics? Come learn all about FIRST® LEGO® League in this sampler program. Girl Scout Juniors and Cadettes will get first-hand experience with the program and equipment utilized by the FIRST® LEGO® League teams.

Mental health is increasingly a focus of everyone’s lives, and for good reason! Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with a sleepover where we will explore the world of mental health and how we can be healthier and happier in our everyday lives. Using curriculum developed in partnership with Goal Driven Counseling, we will learn about common mental health issues faced by teens, types of treatment, self care strategies, and community support.
