Extreme Adventures: Wild Caving ☙ Sunday, April 18 8:45 am-6 pm

On this extreme adventure, Girl Scouts will explore the wild Fisher Cave Spelunker’s Paradise at Meramec State Park! Certified instructors will lead us through parts of the cave that are not open to the public. No caving experience is needed, but Girl Scouts should be comfortable getting dirty and moving through moderately small spaces. The Extreme Adventures programs offer 6-12 grade Girl Scouts unique and “extreme” outdoor related opportunities.

World DNA Day Tuesday, April 20 6-8 pm $12 per Girl Scout Reg. Opens: Jan. 14

Celebrate World DNA Day with Girl Scouts! Cadettes will explore genetics, build a candy DNA model, and extract real DNA from strawberries. Through a blend of biology, observation, and imaginative modeling, Cadettes will dive into the world of DNA, cells, and living things.

Virtual Digital Leadership— Seniors & Ambassadors Wednesday, April 21 6-8 pm $12 per Girl Scout Reg. Opens: Jan. 14

How can we use the internet to become leaders in our communities? Seniors and Ambassadors can join us to learn how to lead and help the world around us! This virtual program includes a box mailed to the participant’s house with all the supplies needed and the badge earned.

Older Girl Scouts will step back in time to learn about the adventure and peril of the Oregon Trail! We’ll learn about what life for settlers was like as they made the dangerous journey from East to West.

Dollars that Care: April Showers Budgeting and Shopping Saturday, April 24 9-11 am $12 per Girl Scout Reg. Opens: Jan. 14

Offered to: Cadette Grades 6-8

Each year, Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri purchases personal care items with the monetary donations received through April Showers and donates them to pantries. This program gives Cadettes the unique opportunity to help make those purchases and learn about philanthropy and personal budgeting along the way.

In this program, Girl Scouts will learn the science behind makeup, skin care products, and fabric used to make our clothing. We will test skin care and makeup at a specialty makeup retailer, investigate fabric materials, and determine what types of products we will be buying in the future.
