GSEM and the Gold Award Committee are here to assist Girl Scouts with the next steps to earn the Gold Award. Join us for a Gold Award Drop-In Session, offered both in-person and virtually, as an opportunity for Seniors and Ambassadors to work on their project plan, discuss ideas, and ask questions alongside other Girl Scouts and committee members.

Nature is counting on our Cadette Girl Scouts! Take a trek through the natural world and learn how to conserve, preserve, and protect our environment. We’ll explore how to minimize our impact on the environment and start a Take Action project—a prerequisite for the Silver Award.

Pantry to Plate with Operation Food Search Thursday, March 11 6-8 pm

Offered to: Cadette Grades 6-8

Cadettes can join us at Operation Food Search (OFS), a local food pantry, to learn how to cook some amazing meals with items that are often donated to food pantries! Not only will we learn some budget friendly food options, but we’ll discover a little more about amazing community focused organizations, like OFS!

Extreme Adventures: Moonlight Tree Climbing ☙ March 13-14 7 pm, Sat.-9 am, Sun.

Offered to: Cadette | Senior | Ambassador Grades 6-12

On this extreme adventure, Girl Scouts will tree climb and experience treeboats under a full moon, then tent camp overnight! No climbing experience needed, but must have a desire to try new things and be comfortable spending time outdoors. The Extreme Adventures programs offer 6-12 grade Girl Scouts unique and “extreme” outdoor related opportunities.

In this program, Cadettes will earn their Animal Helpers Badge as they discover the essential role service dogs play in supporting individuals with disabilities. They will take what they learned to educate others about the legal rights of people with disabilities and their service dogs, helping to raise awareness and promote respect in their communities.
