You and Me Black History Month Performance with The Black Rep Sunday, Feb. 7 6-8 pm

Older Girl Scouts are invited to celebrate Black History Month by joining us for a private performance from The Black Rep! We will meet virtually on February 4 to discuss the show and it’s historical context, then watch the performance on February 7. After the show, we will discuss what we learned and how we can continue learning about Black History throughout the month!

Galentines and Glitter Tuesday, Feb. 9 5:30-7:30 pm

Galentines and Glitter is a program for Girl Scouts on the Autism Spectrum. During this program, older Girl Scouts will experience a night of friendship while celebrating Galentines! Girl Scouts will participate in a variety of interactive activities, crafts, and games celebrating friendship.

This program is for Cadettes who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Silver Award. Caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend, too! This training will allow Cadettes to learn the steps necessary to complete their Silver Award project and how to submit their completion and final report.

How can happiness be measured? In this program, Girl Scouts will explore how scientists study mood and learn about the science and psychology behind happiness. Cadettes will examine key parts of the brain and the chemicals involved, take part in a hands-on experiment, and create their own plan to boost happiness in their daily lives. This virtual program includes a box mailed to the participant’s house with all the supplies needed and the badge earned.

For Girl Scouts pursuing the Gold Award, training is a required step. Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors who prefer an in-person training experience can join us for a program provided by our Gold Award Committee.

GSEM and the Gold Award Committee are here to assist Girl Scouts with the next steps to earn the Gold Award. Join us for a Gold Award Drop-In Session, offered both in-person and virtually, as an opportunity for Seniors and Ambassadors to work on their project plan, discuss ideas, and ask questions alongside other Girl Scouts and committee members.

On this Extreme Adventure, Girl Scouts will hit the slopes and learn how to snowboard at Hidden Valley! Everyone will start out with a lesson, then be able to progress to larger slopes if desired. The Extreme Adventures programs offer 6-12 grade Girl Scouts unique and “extreme” outdoor related opportunities.
