Want to create real change? The Volunteer in Training Award challenges Girl Scouts to think strategically and lead in ways that matter to them. We’ll create experiences that open minds and build confidence in younger kids while making sure everyone is included. Girl Scouts will attend two training sessions to learn important leadership, teaching, and event organizations skills. Then we’ll work with one of our own Girl Scout Program Managers to host a special event—the annual GSEM Read-a-Thon!

Thanksgiving is coming, but the turkey doesn’t want to be eaten. Older Girl Scouts will help him escape dinner by designing and building the best hideout.

Girl Scouts will meet with young professionals from diverse backgrounds and career pathways, connect with personal storytelling, learn tips for discovering their own path, and get answers to questions about building their future. Become a gingerbread architect and put those skills to the test! Cadettes will learn structural engineering concepts and the design process as they plan and construct a model building, which will be tested on an earthquake shake table. During construction, they’ll take on design challenges that require them to incorporate different features into their structures.

This program is for Cadettes who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Silver Award. Caregivers and troop leaders are welcome to attend, too!
