MISSION BRIEF

Every Girl Scout journey begins with an adventure. It may be trying something new, making a new friend, stepping outside of a comfort zone, or discovering an interest that opens the door to possibilities she had never imagined. However her journey begins, each experience is an opportunity to grow in confidence, courage, and leadership. As you explore this guide together, you will find experiences designed to help Girl Scouts discover their strengths, explore new interests, and have fun along the way. Throughout 2026–2027, Girl Scouts across eastern Missouri will build robots, explore college campuses, perform on stage, serve their communities, experience the outdoors, pursue their Highest Awards, and develop skills that will prepare them for wherever life takes them. Behind every experience is a larger purpose. We want girls to discover not only what they can do, but also who they can become. One opportunity I am especially proud to see continue growing is our AdvanceHER™ Leadership Program. Through partnerships with colleges and universities, workforce development experiences, scholarship opportunities, career exploration, mentorship, and leadership development, AdvanceHER™ helps Girl Scouts connect their interests and talents to future possibilities. Just as importantly, girls build the confidence, resilience, and skills to pursue their goals with purpose. It is one of the many ways Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri is preparing girls for leadership today and for the future. As CEO, one of the things I value most about Girl Scouts is the sense of belonging we create for girls. Every girl deserves a place where she can be herself, try something new, be challenged to grow, discover her unique strengths, and know that her That is what makes the year ahead so exciting.

And she does not make that journey alone. Along the way are dedicated volunteers, supportive families, inspiring mentors, staff, and community partners who encourage her, believe in her potential, and help create experiences that can make a lasting difference. experiences that already match what she loves, but also consider something completely new. Maybe it is an outdoor adventure, a STEM experience, a leadership opportunity, a college visit, community service, or something she simply thinks sounds fun. Sometimes saying “yes” to one new experience can uncover a lifelong passion, inspire a future career, reveal a new strength, or create a memory she will carry with her for years.
