ACCESSIBILITY AT GSEM What is accessibility? Accessibility is when an individual with a disability is afforded the opportunity to acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same services as a person without a disability.

Accessibility can look like: • Noise Levels • Light Levels • Braille • Font Choices • ADA Designs • Closed Captioning/Subtitles • Time Constraints • Language Interpreter • Image Description + Alt Text Examples of what Accommodations could look like at GSEM: • Adapted Equipment • Program Modifications • Sensory Tools/Resources • Visual Aids • Individual Participation Support Plans • Extra Staff • Modified Print for Vision Impairment • Sign Language Interpreters • Modified Diet • Medical Support • Consult/Resources/Information

We welcome Girl Scouts and adult volunteers of all abilities and strive to provide accommodations that make programs, activities, and experiences accessible to everyone.
