Program Description
Junior, Cadette, Senior, Ambassador and Adult, Grades 4-12 Interested in pursuing a Highest Award but not sure how to get started? Join us for a night to learn all about the Highest Awards— Bronze, Silver and Gold! Location: Virtual Cadette and Adult, Grades 6-8 This course is for Girl Scout Cadettes who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Silver Award. This training will allow participants to learn the steps necessary to complete their Silver Award project and how to submit their completion form. Location: Virtual Cadette, Grades 6-8 Nutrition is very important to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Food can help us sleep better, stress less, and feel our best. In this program, find out how to eat to nourish our bodies and live our best lives. Girl Scouts will receive a box of supplies mailed to their house prior to the program. Cadettes earn their Eating for You Badge. Location: Virtual Junior and Cadette, Grades 4-8 Everyone has the ability to start their own business, and during this program, we’ll think of fun business solutions to everyday problems. The program happens over two sessions. The Pitch Challenge is the second session where Girl Scouts will practice talking about (or pitching) their business ideas. Girl Scouts will receive a box of supplies mailed to their house prior to the program. Cadettes earn their Business Creator Badge. Location: Virtual (2/13); Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 63146 (3/1) Senior and Ambassador, Grades 9-12 During this Journey, Girl Scouts will have a chance to be an advocate with the power to start the first flutter of real and lasting change. While creating their own butterfly effect, Girl Scouts will learn skills such as networking, planning, and speaking up for what they believe. Seniors earn their GIRLtopia Journey Award. Ambassadors earn their Your Voice, Your World Journey Award. Location: Berges Family Girl Scout Program Center, 63146 Cadette, Senior and Ambassador, Grades 6-12 Please Note: Girl Scouts MUST be at least 13 years of age on the date of the program to participate . Girl Scouts will kayak underground at Crystal City Cave! The water is crystal clear, allowing kayakers to see remnants of mining. This is at minimum a 2-hour excursion in a cold cave with a few tight spaces to navigate. Transportation to the cave is not provided. Location: Crystal City Cave, 63019
