Sexual Abuse, Physical Abuse and Molestation Policy Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri has zero tolerance for any instances of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and/or molestation of any individual. Any staff member, volunteer, or independent contractor found to have engaged in any such activity will be terminated from their employment, volunteer role, and/or any other affiliation they have with Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri will also pursue any and all legal actions warranted in the event of an instance of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and/or molestation. For more information about this policy, see the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri web site, or contact the Director of Risk Management. If members have any concerns about, or need to report, an instance of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and/or molestation, contact the Director of Risk Management. If that person is not available, contact another Leadership Team staff member. Also remember that Missouri law states that if any person with the responsibility for the care of children has reasonable cause to suspect that a child has been or may be subjected to abuse or neglect or observes a child being subjected to conditions or circumstances which would reasonably result in abuse or neglect, that person shall immediately report to the Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division. Mandated reporters include Girl Scout volunteers and staff. Disability Information Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri welcomes the participation of all campers and adults and will make reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities. Girl Scouts from Other Councils Registered Girl Scouts from other councils are welcome to attend Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri summer programs when space is available. Weather Weather generally changes from day to day and can be unpredictable. Occasionally, we may need to cancel scheduled programs during extreme weather, including heat, excessive rain or thunderstorms. This could include closing the Equestrian Center, climbing wall, canoeing, or other activities. In this case, alternative activities will be offered. No refunds will be given if a camp session is dismissed early or begins late due to unforeseen weather conditions . Camp Information Packet The Camp Information Packet, formerly known as the Camp Confirmation Packet, details about life at Overnight Camp, a packing list and other important information can be found online at girlscoutsem.org/forms starting Feb. 1. Health Forms To collect health history and medical care information, Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri partners with CampDoc.com , a secure, encrypted and password protected electronic health record system for camps. Caregivers will receive an email from CampDoc.com with information about how to complete their camper’s health history. Nut-Free Environment Meals and snacks served at Overnight Camp are peanut and tree nut free. Snacks that are brought from home or sent in a care package must not contain nuts, or be processed in a facility that contains nut products. Gift Certificates Camp gift certificates are available for purchase at the St. Louis Girl Scout Shop and make great gifts. To redeem gift certificates, please contact the Answer Center at 314.400.4600. 2025 Overnight Camp Health Forms are due by May 1 for all June camps and by June 1 for all other camps.
