Lifeguard-in-Training Trefoil Rewards Discount Eligible Must be at least 15 years old at the time of camp Date: July 27-Aug. 1 Location: Cedarledge 63070 Cost: $485 through March 31, $515 starting April 1 and $545 starting May 1 Lifeguard-in-Training is a great first step towards a job as a lifeguard. This camp teaches the fundamentals of lifeguarding and will focus on safety awareness and skill development that will enhance the future of each camper while having fun! Campers focuses on five key areas: prevention of aquatic accidents, fitness and swimming skills, response in an emergency, leadership skills, and professionalism. Campers will participate in traditional camp activities while completing their lifeguard certification. Prerequisite: Must be 15 years old prior to first day of camp. Must be able to tread water for 2 minutes while keeping their head above water and swim a minimum of 200 yards in one direction without stopping.
Tuckaho Bootcamp ❧ ❧ ❧ Must be at least 14 years old at the time of camp Date: July 27-Aug. 1 Location: Tuckaho 63379 Cost: $415 through March 31, $405 starting April 1 and $440 starting May 1 Learn what it takes to work at Camp Tuckaho, and have some fun exploring camp! Campers will complete Program Aide training, spend a day shadowing a unit and program staff while helping lead activities with campers, and plan an all camp party night! There will still be time to take part in other camp activities such as swimming, crafts, and more.

Cadette Volunteering in Programs (VIP) ❧ ❧ Grades 6-8 for the 2024-2025 school year Date: Aug. 4-7 Location: Fiddlecreek 63055 Cost: $225 Volunteering in Programs (VIP) training is designed to help Cadette Girl Scouts discover their talents in mentoring and leading younger Girl Scouts. They will gain the confidence, knowledge and expertise needed to guide Girl Scouts, and prepares them to hold future leadership positions within and outside of Girl Scouting. Our older Girl Scouts will help create and run three Day Camps at Fiddlecreek for Juniors, Brownies, and Daisies. Then they’ll have their own fun at camp in the evenings when the younger kids go home before sleeping over in the comfort of Myrtle’s Manor. Cadettes earn their Program Aide Award. This is a three-night overnight program. We will have a required pre-meeting on June 20 from 6-7 pm.
