Earning the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver and Gold Award

The Girl Scout Bronze Award, Silver Award and Gold Award prove Girl Scouts have what it takes to build a better today—and tomorrow. These Highest Awards, the most prestigious awards in Girl Scouts, helps Girl Scouts identify a need in the community, the root cause of the issue and how to create a plan to make sustainable change! Get started on earning a Highest Award in Girl Scouting today by learning more about the prerequisites— including the new Leadership Awards! Leadership Awards A brand-new era of leadership has arrived for Girl Scouts in grades 4-12! The new Leadership Awards are here to help Girl Scouts explore leadership—through self-discovery, teamwork, mentorship, and community action. Girl Scouts can earn these awards on their own, at events or camp, at troop meetings, or even in their community.

However, the Journeys can still be applied towards Highest Awards prerequisites, even after they retire in October 2026. • The GSEM Program Team will be offering a variety of programs with the new menu options. Eligible programs will be noted in the program listing. The awards are part of the NEW Expanded Menu of Prerequisites to earn the Girl Scouts’ Highest Awards . Now, Girl Scouts can choose how they prepare for the Highest Awards with a variety of ways to explore their leadership skills. Please note: • One of the new prerequisite options is to earn the previous award, for example, Girl Scouts who earn their Bronze Award can move right into earning their Silver Award with no additional prework needed.
