Think Like an Engineer Journey Day Nov. 8, 9:30 am-2:30 pm $35 per Girl Scout
Offered to: Brownie | Junior Grades 2-5
Guided by the Kappa Deltas at Saint Louis University, Girl Scouts will work on their Think Like an Engineer Journey to find out how engineers use design thinking to solve problems. They will work together to complete three design-thinking activities specialized for their level. Girl Scouts will earn the first part of the Think Like an Engineer Journey, and will need to complete the Take Action Project on their own after the program. Badges and snacks are included. Girl Scouts should bring a packed lunch.

Discover the excitement of space discovery at the Challenger Learning Center through a space mission simulation and rocket-building workshop. Juniors will journey on a manned mission to Mars, conducting vital research en route. Following their adventure, they’ll unleash their creativity by constructing their own rockets!

Back by popular demand, we are partnering with Girls in the Know to bring their exciting Empowerment Workshop Series to Girl Scouts! This program will cover topics of body image, peer pressure, puberty, and cyberbullying, all led by subject matter experts! It will also provide open dialogue in a safe space along with fact-based information on the tough issues for girls. Dinner, snacks, and breakfast included. This program is a she and me event, so an adult is required to register and attend with their Girl Scout.

Brownie Space Station Odyssey Nov. 20, 6-8 pm
Offered to: Brownie Grades 2-3
Experience the thrill of space exploration at the Challenger Learning Center with our immersive space mission and rocket-building workshop. Brownies will travel to the International Space Station to look for and identify objects in space. After space travel, we will build our own rockets!

Playing the Past Nov. 22, 9 am-noon OR 1-4 pm
Offered to: Junior Grades 4-5
Step back in time and become a historical character! Juniors will experience an immersive program at the beautiful Sappington House, where they will connect with history in a whole new way. They will put on a historically accurate costume, then get ready to experience life as one of Missouri’s early families. And Girl Scouts will make homemade butter, write with a feather quill, tour the historic house, and play games that girls would have played in the early 1800s.

December 2025 Virtual Automotive Design for Juniors
Offered to: Junior Grades 4-5
Who wants to take a ride in their dream car? Before we can do that, we need to design it! In this virtual program, Juniors will explore automotive research and design, learning how to go from concept to creation. Juniors will think like an innovator to create their own vehicle concept by sketching and sculpting a model. This virtual program includes a box mailed to the participant’s house with all the supplies needed and the badge earned.
