This course is for Girl Scout Juniors who are interested in pursuing the Girl Scout Bronze Award. This training allows Girl Scouts and their adults to learn the steps necessary to complete their Bronze Award project and how to submit completion.

Girl Scout Juniors will venture through the solar system and beyond with help from the University of Missouri—St. Louis Department of Physics and Astronomy! Juniors will see that space is even bigger than they may have imagined by learning more about the solar system and Earth’s place in it.

Let’s hit the slopes and have some snow fun! A unique opportunity in Missouri, Juniors will learn to downhill ski at Hidden Valley Ski Resort. Girl Scouts will get fitted for gear, then take a skiing lesson with a certified instructor in small groups. If Girl Scouts would like to continue skiing after the lesson is over (their ski lift is good for the rest of the evening), a guardian must check them out of the program and supervise them on the slopes. Adults registered for the program will help supervise the group, but will not ski.

Each February, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides across 150 countries celebrate World Thinking Day. It’s a day of international friendship and a time to stand up for causes that could improve the lives of girls around the globe. This year’s theme is “Our Friendship”, celebrating the bonds that unite us across borders, generations and cultures. We will immerse ourselves in the rich traditions and diverse customs that make our Movement unique, and engage in interactive activities designed to inspire reflection and strengthen bonds.
