Question: Can I see if someone opened their marketing email? Digital Cookie does not track the open or click rates for marketing emails.

Question: Is the Digital Cookie app only for mobile devices? Can I access all accounts (girl/parent and adult volunteer) from the Digital Cookie app? Can you set up a site from the app or does it need to be done online? The Digital Cookie app is an app for mobile devices that you can find in your app store. The app is only for girl/ parent-side accounts. The app only works during our sale and accounts must be set up through the website starting December 15. Question: Can Troop Cookie Managers change girl links in their troop to be direct shipping and donation only? Girl links will automatically be set to include girl-delivery through the initial order period. After January 29, a Girl Scout parent/adult may inactivate the girl-delivery option on their Girl Scout’s account under My Cookies. They may also close their Girl Scout’s Digital Cookie store for any sales, if so desired. Troops may only request the girl-delivery option for the troop be inactivated after January 29. Troop Cookie Managers should consult with their families before making such changes. Question: What are ACH withdrawals for and how do they work? How do the ACH withdrawals account for online sales? ACH withdrawals are the electronic transfer of what your troop owes for cookies to council. The first withdrawal is for a portion of your troop’s initial order and you will receive an email a week before the withdrawal notifying you of the amount due. All Digital Cookie payments will automatically go to Council, and the troop’s balance due to council will be reduced based on how much the troop collected via Digital Cookie. If the troop’s Digital Cookie sales exceed the amount due to council, the troop’s proceeds owed will be transferred from Council via an ACH deposit after the final deadlines. Question: For a new troop, who does not have extra funds, how do we ensure we have money for the council ACH withdrawals during cookie season? Encourage families to turn in cash and checks collected during delivery regularly throughout the season or encourage them to use one of the credit card options. Make frequent deposits to the troop bank account of this and money collected at cookie booths. This is a best practice for safe money keeping and will ensure the troop has adequate funds for the initial withdrawal. For the final payment deadline, communicate deadlines for girls/ families to turn in their cookie money ahead of the withdrawal dates. Be firm on this deadline and use the Troop Late Payment Report when someone does not pay on time. Financial
